Obiettivi

L’idea progettuale di ASMARA prevede di implementare e testare un Sistema di Supporto alle Decisioni (DSS) per migliorare e ottimizzare la pianificazione, la gestione e prenotazione delle operazioni nei sistemi di trasporto intermodali.
Il DSS sarà progettato per prendere decisioni tattiche e operative relative alla gestione del sistema di trasporto intermodale grazie all’applicazione di strumenti moderni delle Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Un sistema DSS è una piattaforma dedicata a migliorare i servizi “fornendoli di un’intelligenza”. Le decisioni prese sono a livello tattico e operativo:

• Le decisioni tattiche vengono prese su una base dei tempi a medio-termine (mensile o trimestrale) ed includono una pianificazione off line:
  – Attività e vehicle scheduling
  – Timing, sequenza di allocazione di risorse
  – Allocazione di memoria, strategie di raccolta degli ordini, selezione delle modalità di trasporto, strategie di consolidamento, etc.
  – Vehicle routing
• Le decisioni operative vengono prese su una base dei tempi giornaliera o in tempo reale e includono la raccolta degli ordini di magazzino, spedizioni e vehicle dispatching, operazioni di booking, azioni di reazione ad eventi imprevedibili (blocco, incidenti, condizioni meteo rischiose, etc.)
